Hill McGlynn is currently working in partnership with a growing residential developer to recruit a confident and motivated Business Development Manager to join their team based out of their Sittingbourne office. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious sales-focused individual looking to build a long-term career within the construction and residential development sector.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in generating new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients and industry contacts, and supporting the company's continued growth. The role will involve proactive outbound sales activity, including cold calling prospective clients and developing new leads within the construction and residential development market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting cold calls and outbound sales activity to generate new business opportunities
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective clients and industry contacts
  • Identifying and developing sales leads within the construction sector
  • Supporting the senior management team with business growth strategies
  • Attending meetings and networking opportunities where required
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales activity and client communications
  • Working closely with internal teams to support business objectives

Requirements

  • MUST be confident, proactive, and comfortable with cold calling and sales activity
  • Previous experience within a sales or business development role
  • Some basic knowledge or understanding of the construction industry is essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a target-driven attitude
  • Good organisational and IT skills
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
