About the Company

The building contractor takes on projects of varied nature: healthcare, education, local authority, commercial, government buildings and roofing contracts. It has a reputation for delivering construction projects from £200k to £8m, including refurbishment and new build.

About the Candidate

We are looking for a Site Manager with proven experience across varied sectors and on projects up to £8m. The candidate will manage full site operations, client relationships and Principal Contractor coordination. Roofing experience on large-scale projects and warehouse site experience is required.

Project Details

The contractor is operating in and around Oxfordshire on a large 7,000 m² felt roofing scheme, including asbestos removal. Reporting to a Tier 1 Principal Contractor, the Site Manager must be strong on paperwork and follow Tier 1 processes.

Responsibilities and Client Wish List

  • CSCS card relevant to the position.
  • SMSTS or equivalent highly desirable.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • A construction related degree, HNC/HND or NVQ Level 4 highly desirable.
  • Sound understanding and experience of safety legislation and corporate safety procedures, including CDM.
  • Good management, communication, operational planning and time-management skills.
