Freelance Site Manager TWC & 278 Works

Contract Details:

  • Freelance / Contract Role
  • £350 per day
  • 12-month contract
  • CIS or Ltd Company payment available
  • Immediate start available
  • Based in St Annes

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day site operations safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate and supervise all Temporary Works activities in line with regulations.
  • Oversee Section 278 works, including highways and infrastructure interfaces.
  • Ensure works are delivered to programme, budget, and quality standards.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, local authorities, engineers, and project stakeholders.
  • Maintain site health & safety compliance and documentation.
  • Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and progress reporting.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of TWC procedures and Section 278 works.
  • Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator qualification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to start immediately preferred.
