Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:00am-5:00pm
My client is looking for a Site Chemist to join their team based in Southampton. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science or equivalent, have industry chemist experience and/or be keen to start their career in the Waste Management Industry. You will be responsible for the safe operation of the site, waste handling, and liaising with site management. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with site permits and waste acceptance regulations
- Oversee safe operation of the site and waste handling
- Monitor quality and compliance, and submit non-conformance reports and invoices on time
- Ensure all waste that are processed/repacked have an associated paperwork trail so they can be traced from cradle to grave.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field
- Previous experience as a Site Chemist, Lab Analyst, or similar is desirable
- Experience in the Waste Management industry is desirable, but not essential
- Forklift Licence desirable, but not essential
- Must have full right to live and work in the UK
