Location: Kent, UK

Salary: up to 34,000pa (DOE)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:00am-5:00pm

My client is looking for a Site Chemist to join their team based in Kent. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working in a Site Chemist, Mobile Chemist or Lab Chemist role for a UK based Waste Management company. You will be responsible for the safe operation of the site, waste handling, and liaising with site management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with site permits and waste acceptance regulations
  • Oversee safe operation of the site and waste handling
  • Develop and train chemists, and maintain stock rotation
  • Monitor quality and compliance, and submit non-conformance reports and invoices on time
  • Liaise with site management to implement day-to-day work requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field
  • Previous experience as a site chemist or related role
  • In-depth knowledge of waste acceptance regulations and HSE segregation guidelines
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
