Tailored Recruitment Partners are currently recruiting a Dairy Operative to work on a temporary to permanent basis for a Dairy in Keighley. Working between 40 - 48 hours per week over 5 days (some Saturdays required). We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Dairy Operative to join our production and distribution team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating dairy filling machinery, maintaining hygiene standards, preparing customer orders, and supporting daily warehouse and delivery operations. This role requires a flexible approach, attention to detail, and commitment to food safety and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate bottle washing machine, bottle filling machine, poly filling machine, and carton filling machine.
- Strip down, wash, sanitise, and rebuild filling machines in line with hygiene and food safety procedures.
- Carry out cleaning duties across the dairy including walls, floors, forecourts, loading bays, canteen, cloakroom, and toilets.
- Prepare and make up customer orders from loading lists and delivery notes.
- Ensure correct stock rotation and monitor product freshness.
- Fridge and unfridge products as required for production and dispatch.
- Load and unload wagons safely and efficiently.
- Assist with van sales, doorstep deliveries, and wholesale deliveries when required.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety at all times.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and report any issues or faults.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a dairy, food production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Flexible and reliable approach to work.
Requirements
- Physically fit and able to lift and move products safely.
- Full UK driving licence desirable for delivery duties.
