Our client, a specialist scientific consultancy, is looking for a Senior Analyst to join their team due to their continued expansion. This will be a hands-on role within the labs, using mass spectrometry techniques to perform specialist analysis work as directed by their customers.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on analytical work in the laboratories, performing specialist analysis using mass spectrometry.
  • Supporting tasks in extractables and leachables testing and other customer-directed analytical work.

Qualifications

  • Strong scientific academic background, ideally in Chemistry or a similar field at degree or A-level standard, with 2+ years in a lab-based role.
  • Or a Master’s degree with 18 months lab experience or a fresh PhD in an analytical field.
  • Understanding of chromatographic analysis techniques GC/MS and/or LC/MS; experience with FTIR, TGA, UV-VIS or GPC is beneficial. Training will be provided for unfamiliar areas.
  • Experience working in a regulated/structured lab environment such as GMP, GLP, ISO17025 is useful.
