We are now looking for a Work‑Based Learning Practitioner to enhance our ensemble of staff.

Contract Type: Permanent, Full time
Start: 1st September 2026
Salary: £33,912 – £38,218
Job Summary: Exceeding expectations through education, innovation and inspiration.
Responsibilities:
- The Practitioner will assess learners against the full range of hospitality and catering qualifications, manage a caseload, and conduct training‑needs analyses.
- Responsibilities include enrolling learners in suitable courses, providing coaching and mentoring, delivering underpinning knowledge sessions (1‑1 or workshops, maximum group size 8), monitoring progress, giving constructive feedback, guiding e‑portfolio preparation, and assessing and presenting completed portfolios for internal quality assurance.
Essential Requirements:
- Be qualified at a minimum Level 3 or above in Hospitality & Catering
- Possess or be willing to work towards an assessor qualification (TAQA)
- Possess or be willing to work towards a Quality Assurance qualification (currently 401 TAQA Unit)
- Level 2 English/Welsh and Maths qualifications (or equivalent) at Grade 4 (C) or above
- Possess or be willing to work towards a Digital Literacy Level 2 qualification
- Experience in liaising and partnering with external managers in the industry
- Able to plan and manage own workload, ensuring deadlines are met
- Able to demonstrate personal resilience to cope with a range of difficult situations
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to the maintenance and development of quality standards within education
