Responsibilities:
- Support and deliver practical plumbing workshop sessions.
- Demonstrate safe and effective working methods to learners.
- Prepare tools, materials and equipment for sessions.
- Work closely with the course team to support learner progress.
- Contribute to the development of learners’ technical skills in pipework, jointing, domestic plumbing systems, installation methods, safe working practices and general workshop procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean and well‑organised workshop environment.
- Assist with learner supervision and record keeping where required.
- Ensure learners achieve high standards in their practical work.

Essential Requirements:
- Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent in Plumbing or a professionally relevant subject area.
- Relevant commercial or domestic plumbing experience.
- Ability to confidently demonstrate practical plumbing skills and safe working practices.
- Ability to support the planning and delivery of effective practical workshop sessions.
- Understanding of current developments within plumbing and building services and ways of keeping up to date.
- Awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching, learning and assessment.
- Good level of IT competence and willingness to learn new IT packages and systems.
- Ability to deal promptly and effectively with inappropriate behaviour in the classroom or workshop environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support learners with a range of practical abilities.
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean and well‑organised practical working environment.
