Position Details

Role Title: Lecturer in Mechanical and Maintenance Engineering.

Location: Deeside.

Contract Type: Permanent, Full time.

Salary: £33,596 - £51,932.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled teaching.
  • Prepare learning materials.
  • Mark students' work.
  • Liaise with awarding bodies and assist with exam invigilation as required.
  • Provide educational guidance, support and counselling for students and act as a personal tutor when required.
  • Complete and produce agreed deadlines documentation such as registers, schemes of work, records of work, course review, course analysis documentation, student reports, absence reports and course files.
  • Deliver City and Guilds Performing Engineering Operations Level 1 up to Level 3 and City and Guilds Technical Certificate Level 1 up to Level 3.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to at least Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • Candidate must be a qualified teacher (PGCE, Cert Ed etc) or willing to gain this within 2 years of appointment.
  • Awareness of the quality standards within teaching.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and keep up to date.
  • Knowledge of the broad range of learning needs and support within a learning environment.
  • Able to analyse and use key information to inform teaching and learning.
