Role Summary: Permanent, full‑time position located at Bersham Road. Salary £33,596 – £51,932.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a range of Engineering courses at Further Education levels L2–L3.
  • Prepare and update learning materials and teaching resources.
  • Mark student work and provide constructive feedback.
  • Invite and carry out exam invigilation when required.
  • Support students of diverse backgrounds and varied learning needs.
  • Liaise with tutors from other subject areas on curriculum development, resources and student reports.
  • Maintain accurate registers, schemes of work, records of work and conduct course reviews.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent in a professionally relevant subject area.
  • Hold an appropriate teaching qualification such as PGCE or Certificate in Education, or be willing to work towards one.
  • Strong understanding and application of mathematical subjects.
  • Demonstrated capability to keep up with ongoing developments in a specialist area.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a strong team‑player attitude.
  • Ability to develop and use a range of teaching and learning techniques, and prepare effective written and visual teaching materials.
  • Self‑motivated, well‑organised and capable of working independently to agreed deadlines.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and preferably Google apps.
  • Aware of quality standards within teaching.
  • Proficient use of CAD/CAM.
