Job Summary: Our Mechanical and Maintenance Engineering department at Deeside is seeking a multi-skilled Instructor Demonstrator. You will deliver comprehensive practical sessions, maintain workshop standards, plan activities with the course team, and manage administrative tasks including record-keeping and student evaluations. Your duties include demonstrating basic practical skills across engineering disciplines such as hand skills, maintenance and turning.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent in a professionally relevant subject matter
- Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date
- Aware of the importance of quality standards in teaching
- Demonstrate good IT competence, able to navigate the Internet and intranets, and willing to learn new IT packages and systems
- Deal promptly and effectively with inappropriate behaviour in the classroom
- Confidently deliver high-quality, effective practical sessions that enhance student learning
