Salary: £26,980 – £31,245

Our Foundation learning department at Bersham Road, Wrexham, is seeking an experienced and multi-skilled Instructor Demonstrator. Within our modern workspace equipped with industry-standard tools, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive practical sessions. Your duties include planning practical activities in collaboration with our course team, ensuring the skill development of our students, and managing key administrative tasks such as record-keeping and student evaluations.

The role involves delivering and demonstrating basic practical skills across various construction trades, including but not limited to carpentry and joinery, plastering, brickwork, and fundamental electrical and plumbing skills. Adherence to our guidelines on Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, and Quality is essential. Essential Requirements

  • Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent in a professionally relevant subject matter
  • Commercial and domestic experience in construction
  • Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such developments
  • Awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching
  • Demonstrate a good level of IT competence
  • Able to deal promptly and effectively with inappropriate behaviour in the classroom
  • Able to confidently deliver high quality, effective practical sessions which enhance learning for our students
  • Welsh skills are essential for this specific post
