Our Basingstoke based client is looking for a forklift driver to join their team on a permanent basis. Our client specialises in chemical production.

Salary & Hours

  • £27,000 per annum
  • £170 per annum shift allowance (when you start working rotating shift)
  • Starting hours will be 8am-5pm Mon-Thurs and 8am-4pm Friday. These will then move to the below hours:
    • Week 1: 6am-2pm Mon-Thurs, 6am-1pm Friday
    • Week 2: 1pm-9pm Mon-Thurs, 12pm-7pm Friday

Duties

  • Safely handle hazardous chemicals
  • Move chemicals across the factory using counterbalance forklift
  • Operate chemical plant
  • Carry out chemical reactions and processes
  • Record quantities used throughout the process
  • Carry out simple analytical tests
  • Pack chemicals
  • Clean plant equipment and general areas in the factory
  • Carry out simple day to day maintenance of chemical plant

Skills & Experience required

  • Production experience
  • Counterbalance forklift license
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg
