We are seeking a dependable, professional and hard‑working 3.5T Van Driver to join a busy and growing operation based in Shefford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road, takes pride in delivering a high standard of service, and wants to be part of a supportive team working across a variety of exciting venues and locations.
In this hands‑on role, you will be responsible for loading, transporting and unloading event furniture safely and efficiently, helping to ensure every delivery arrives on time and in excellent condition. You will play an important part in creating a positive customer experience on‑site, representing the business with professionalism while supporting event setups, collections and wider warehouse operations when needed. If you are organised, physically fit and motivated by a varied role where no two days are the same, this position offers the chance to make a real impact within a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a 3.5T van to deliver and collect event furniture
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely
- Ensuring deliveries are completed on time and in good condition
- Assisting with event setup and collections when required
- Completing vehicle checks and maintaining cleanliness of the van
- Occasionally assisting in the warehouse with general duties, including:
- Preparing orders
- Organising stock
- Loading/unloading deliveries
- General housekeeping
The successful candidate will have:
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous van driving experience preferred
- Comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting
- Good timekeeping and organisational skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
- Experience in events or furniture delivery
