A growing multi-disciplinary Consultancy in Sheffield is looking to bring in a Structural Technician to support its expanding structural team. The business works across a wide variety of sectors including residential, commercial, industrial and public sector projects, and has built a strong reputation for delivering technically solid work whilst maintaining a genuinely supportive and down-to-earth culture.

Role Summary
They’re looking for a Structural Technician with consultancy experience who is comfortable producing detailed structural drawings and Revit models across live building projects. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be given a good level of responsibility from the outset and trusted to manage your own workload across multiple schemes. The office lead is keen to find somebody dependable who can take ownership of project work and become a trusted part of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong Revit experience is essential as you need to come in and use the software confidently from day one.
- Produce coordinated drawing packages and BIM models across a genuinely varied project portfolio including residential, commercial, refurbishment, later living, sports, education, heritage and façade projects.
- Work closely with Structural Engineers, architects and wider design teams throughout the project lifecycle, helping to ensure information is delivered accurately and efficiently.
- Produce detailed drawing packages from concept through to construction and work within BIM environments; exposure to steel and reinforced concrete structures is beneficial.
- Support project delivery, take pride in your work and be a trusted part of the team across a broad range of live projects.
Requirements
- Consultancy experience as a Structural Technician.
- Strong Revit working knowledge.
- Experience producing detailed structural drawings and BIM models for residential, commercial, refurbishment and other project types.
- Knowledge of steel and reinforced concrete structures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Happy to be in the office at least three days a week; not heavily client‑facing unless desired.
