About the Science Teacher Role

Reeson Education is recruiting a skilled Science Teacher for a well-established secondary school in Sheffield (S9). This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who can deliver engaging and practical Science lessons while maintaining strong classroom management and promoting academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum and examination requirements.
  • Plan and supervise safe and effective practical experiments that enhance pupils' scientific knowledge and engagement.
  • Maintain clear routines, expectations, and a focused learning environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress to ensure strong academic outcomes.
  • Work closely with colleagues, senior leaders, and parents to support pupil achievement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics (specialism desirable).
  • Confident classroom presence with effective behaviour management skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
