Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistants with a strong SEN focus to work across a trust of schools in the Sheffield area on a flexible supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled support staff who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and are looking for flexible work within welcoming and inclusive school environments.
The Role
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Deliver targeted interventions and tailored support on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCOs to support pupil progress
- Help create an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Adapt classroom activities to meet individual learning needs
Requirements
- A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN within a school setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, proactive, and flexible approach
- Strong behaviour management skills
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
