White Label is working with an engineering and manufacturing business in Sheffield that require a Design Engineer to join their team. As the Design Engineer you will be a hands-on individual while will prepare 2D and 3D models, layouts, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings to produce machinery, material handling equipment, and steelwork.

My client is offering a salary of 35,000 - 40,000 as well as:

  • Flexible start/finish times as well as hybrid working
  • 33 days holiday including bank holidays

Responsibilities of the Design Engineer:

  • Design layouts and specific components on CAD equipment
  • Participate in design reviews with the nominated Project Managers/Engineer(s) to ensure outputs produced are accurate and suitably prepared for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Perform data entry functions to fully specify and document engineering designs.
  • Produce product BOMs.
  • Support existing engineering processes and assist in the development of new processes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvements of engineering systems and processes.
  • Travel as required to support projects.
  • Site surveying where necessary.

Experience required of the Design Engineer:

  • 3+ Years of design experience in Machinery, Materials Handling or similar.
  • HNC/HNC or Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D modelling in AutoCAD & Inventor CAD design programs.
