Hourly Rate: £12.71 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week (between 06:00 - 18:30)

Tru Talent is looking for an experienced Service Advisor to join our client at their Swindon site. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience, while confidently managing service and repair bookings to maximise workshop efficiency.

The Role

As a Service Advisor, you will play a key role in managing the full customer journey from initial booking through to vehicle collection. You will ensure all service and repair work is scheduled effectively, keeping both customers and the workshop running smoothly and efficiently. You will bring a strong customer-focused approach, combined with a commercial mindset, actively promoting aftersales services and ensuring the workshop operates at full capacity.

Key Responsibilities of the Service Advisor

  • Deliver outstanding customer service at all times, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Manage workshop loading and ensure schedules are accurate and up to date
  • Proactively communicate with customers, providing regular updates on vehicle progress
  • Book vehicles in, ensuring appointments suit both the customer and workshop capacity
  • Accurately identify customer requirements and provide fully inclusive cost estimates
  • Produce job cards, invoices, estimates, and all related documentation accurately
  • Clearly explain work carried out and identify opportunities for additional sales
  • Raise warranty job cards in line with manufacturer policies and procedures
  • Accurately record all work, identifying retail, warranty, internal and non-chargeable repairs
  • Liaise closely with the Parts Department to ensure parts availability

About You

  • Previous experience in a Service Advisor or similar customer-facing role
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to identify upselling opportunities
