Are you a Senior Transport Planner in London looking for your next exciting challenge? We’re on the lookout for a Senior Transport Planner to join a leading London Transport Planning Consultancy, based in the heart of the City of London, working on the delivery and management of development planning projects across a wide range of sectors. The company is a well‑established team of over forty professionals, spread across five offices with a strong presence in London. They are a key player within the UK transport planning industry while still offering the close‑knit culture, flexibility, and genuine career progression opportunities that come with a smaller consultancy environment.

Working with this respected consultancy, you’ll have the opportunity to lead and deliver an exciting portfolio of projects, ranging from small‑scale developments through to major infrastructure schemes. You’ll work collaboratively alongside architects, engineers, urban designers, and fellow transport professionals to provide high‑quality transport planning services across sectors including retail, residential, sport and leisure, commercial, healthcare, distribution, education, and energy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the preparation of Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and other supporting technical documents.
  • Managing and delivering development planning projects from inception through to completion.
  • Undertaking traffic and transport data analysis and interpreting findings to support planning applications.
  • Assessing the transport impacts of proposed developments and providing strategic transport advice.
  • Managing client relationships and attending meetings with stakeholders, local authorities and design teams.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
Key Requirements
  • A degree in Transport Planning or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience within Transport Planning, ideally in a consultancy environment.
  • Proven experience leading and managing projects independently.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and report writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience liaising with clients, local authorities and multidisciplinary teams.
  • A proactive and commercially aware approach to project delivery.
