Foster Care Associates (The FCA) Senior Supervising Social Worker – 12‑month fixed term
Salary: Up to £40,081.10 per annum – dependent upon experience

This role offers an opportunity to join Foster Care Associates, a leading fostering agency. It involves supporting and supervising foster parents across the Leicestershire area, with some travel to Peterborough, Sheffield, and visiting families at home.
About Us:
Founded in 1994 by a former foster parent and social worker, Foster Care Associates (FCA) is part of the Polaris Community, one of the UK's largest children's service provider networks. We work to make a positive difference for children, families and communities.
Duties Will Include:
- Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for all children and young people in foster care.
- Supervise, support and monitor the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring they provide a safe, healthy, nurturing and learning environment.
- Ensure carers fully understand the fostering task, competencies and standards, including complaints and representation procedures as outlined in FCA policies.
- Provide and record regular supervision to allocated foster parents in line with FCA Operational Standards.
- Partner with the child's network to identify needs such as respite, activities, therapy or holidays and contribute to relevant meetings.
- Maintain compliant records for each child and foster parent.
- Attend meetings and provide reports for Commissioning Teams to address individual care packages.
- Promote participation of children and young people in agency development and accessing community resources.
- Participate in an out‑of‑hours support service on a rota basis.
- Undertake occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.
You Must Have:
- A Social Work qualification.
- Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
- Proven high‑standard report writing skills.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
- Willingness and ability to travel across the Leicestershire/Peterborough/Lincs area.
- A full driving licence.
