About the Role
An established and growing independent consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to strengthen its close‑knit structural team in Wakefield. With a strong reputation for delivering practical, buildable engineering solutions, the business operates across a broad mix of sectors, supporting schemes from early concept through to completion.
Responsibilities
- Design and assess structures across all primary materials including steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry, taking ownership of projects from initial concept through to completion.
- Produce calculations, drawings and reports.
- Review the work of junior engineers and contribute to the continued growth of the team.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors and clients throughout all project stages, including construction.
Qualifications
- Senior level with solid UK consultancy experience and a strong grounding in structural design.
- Ability to manage own workload with confidence dealing with clients and project teams.
- Motivation to progress professionally, e.g., working toward chartership or building on existing accreditation.
