Our client is an established Main Contractor with a focus on London Projects and has a need for a Senior Site Engineer on a 500‑unit RC frame New build in central London. Enabling works are underway, so you’ll be joining the project at early stages.

As Senior Site Engineer, your role will focus on precise setting‑out and rigorous quality control across key packages and package management including sub‑structures, frame, facades, and internal works (partition walls, ceilings, and M&E). It’s important that setting‑out levels are accurate and comply with technical specifications. You will have an understanding of construction tolerances, technical detailing, and the ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, support mock‑ups, and work closely with specialist subcontractors and relevant consultants.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate setting‑out from early groundworks throughout the build/delivery.
  • Keep clear quality records for foundations, piling, reinforcement, concrete, drainage, and related structural works.
  • Document checks on fire‑safety elements, moisture and vapour control layers, membranes, trays, and roofing systems.
  • Verify internal layouts, including partition positions and floor‑area measurements.
  • Monitor and record progress on sitewide infrastructure and S278‑related works.
  • Coordinate inspections with regulators and design teams, keeping records of outcomes and actions.
  • Track and close out quality issues, ensuring all corrective measures are recorded.
  • Support short‑term construction planning and contribute to internal progress reviews.
  • Lead relevant subcontractor meetings focused on delivery, planning, and quality.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date as‑built progress records.
Qualifications
  • A Civil Engineering degree with strong setting‑out skills and package management/oversight, including sub‑structures, frame, and facade.
  • Experience working on new‑build RC frame projects in London, with budgets of £40 M+.
