Overview: Your new company is a leader in its field and are looking for a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis to support company growth.
Your new role: You will work closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders and support the delivery of accurate, timely financial information to support business decision-making. This role offers exposure to core finance activities within a structured reporting environment and will suit someone who enjoys continuous improvement, collaboration, and working to deadlines. Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting month-end close activities, including preparation and review of financial reports.
- Analysing financial performance and preparing clear explanations for key variances.
- Assisting with forecasting and budgeting processes in collaboration with non-finance stakeholders.
- Performing balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and supporting capital expenditure tracking.
- Preparing and posting accruals, prepayments, and other routine journals.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement, standardisation, and increased efficiency.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- ACCA/ CIMA/ ACA qualified or finalist.
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is essential.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with good attention to detail.
- Confident Excel user, including experience with functions such as Pivot Tables and lookup formulas.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume environment with tight reporting deadlines.
- Able to manage competing priorities, take ownership of tasks, and work effectively as part of a team.
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to challenge existing processes and suggest improvements.
