This role presents a rare opportunity to join a business who only tend to recruit every five years. Their staff retention is exceptional and if you are a Senior Electrical Engineer who enjoys the engineering and running projects, supporting the clients first and foremost and can produce with minimal input from others - then this is an opportunity for you to look at.
There is also the bonus of working not just on Building Services but also some Infrastructure projects too including Substations, UPS', Generators and HV Rings. The business is a well-established Building Services consultancy near Preston. They work on lots of local projects and go up to Cumbria and as far south as Greater Manchester. This opportunity has been presented as one of the team is relocating from the UK to another country.
This is a genuinely strong opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys running projects independently and taking schemes from concept through to handover. If you like working in a team of technical engineers who want to do an exceptional engineering job you will feel at home here.
The role:- No need to do any business development
- Run and lead your own projects from cradle to grave
- Work Client side and be a true consultant designing through Stages 1-4 and overseeing through to handover
- Be the overall Project Lead ahead of all other disciplines
- Peer checking where required for others
- Comfortable working on Small to Very large jobs
- Healthcare estates & hospital infrastructure
- Defence sector work
- Up to 11KV infrastructure projects
- Strong Electrical Building Services background
- Comfortable managing own projects independently
- Experience with Amtech or Electrical OM
- Degree qualified ideally CEng / MCIBSE beneficial but not essential
- CAD experience useful but Revit not required
