A highly respected AV integration business is looking to appoint a senior technical leader to take ownership of engineering quality, technical standards, and project delivery performance across its residential and commercial AV division. This is a key leadership role within the business, ideal for a Lead Engineer, Senior AV Engineer or Engineering Manager who wants to move beyond individual project delivery and help shape how engineering is delivered company wide. This is not a corporate QA or compliance management role. The business is specifically looking for someone from a professional AV integration background with strong hands on technical knowledge across high end AV, smart home and integrated technology systems.
The Role
- You will act as the senior technical authority within the engineering team, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest possible standard from installation through to commissioning and handover.
- You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Programmers and Leadership teams to improve technical consistency, raise standards, support engineers and resolve complex integration challenges.
- This role combines leadership, mentoring, technical escalation and continuous improvement across the engineering function.
Key Responsibilities
- Defining and maintaining engineering standards across all projects
- Overseeing commissioning quality and system performance
- Acting as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues
- Supporting and mentoring engineers across multiple live projects
- Improving installation quality, documentation and delivery consistency
- Supporting engineering resource planning alongside project teams
- Conducting technical reviews, testing oversight and quality checks
- Providing technical support remotely and on site when required
- Assisting with project planning, design reviews and handovers
- Driving continuous improvement across engineering processes
What They Are Looking For
To be considered, you must come from a high end AV integration background with strong senior engineering experience:
- Lutron HomeWorks / QSX
- Crestron systems
- Control4
- Cisco networking VLANs and enterprise WiFi infrastructure
- AV over IP systems including NVX and Dante
- Residential and commercial AV systems
- CCTV and integrated smart technologies
Experience with 2N, VoIP systems, Texecom or wider security integration would also be beneficial.
