We are a respected, forward‑thinking accountancy practice seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join an expanding team. You will work with a diverse mix of clients – including large UK groups, privately owned companies, LLPs and listed entities – gaining technical exposure and development opportunities.
Your new role:
- As an Audit Senior you will take ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion, reporting directly to Managers and Partners.
Responsibilities:
- Lead audit engagements across a varied, high‑quality client portfolio
- Plan, execute and complete audit work to a high standard
- Supervise, mentor and review the work of junior and semi‑senior staff
- Manage budgets, timelines and client communication
- Attend planning and completion meetings
- Prepare high‑quality audit programmes, reports and management letters
- Handle technical queries and liaise with internal teams
- Support general office activities, including acting as a buddy for new starters
Qualifications:
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Previous experience as an Audit Senior or similar role
- Strong working knowledge of accounting standards, auditing standards, company law and basic corporate tax
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and lead junior team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
