Salary: £90 - £105 per day

About the Role: The role is a temporary position with potential to become long term. As a SEND Teaching Assistant you will support primary aged pupils with mixed needs, working closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support, manage behaviours and encourage engagement in learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with Primary Motor Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and other additional needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver individualized support plans.
  • Manage behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Help encourage classroom engagement and learning participation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).
  • Experience working with children with PMLD, SLD or other additional needs.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
  • Patience, resilience and a calm approach.
  • Can-do attitude and willingness to support across the classroom.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
