TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with a number of educational providers to recruit experienced and passionate SEND Tutors. Due to a significant increase in demand for specialist 1-2-1 tuition across the local area, there are frequent opportunities available for dedicated SEND Tutors looking for flexible, rewarding and well‑paid work.
The successful SEND Tutor will work with students on a 1-2-1 basis, either in the home, local community settings or online, supporting young people with a range of additional needs including Autism / ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia and SEMH. This role is ideal for a SEND Tutor who thrives in a personalised learning environment and enjoys building confidence, engagement and academic progress through tailored support.
Tuition opportunities are available across core subjects including Maths, English and Science, with both part‑time and full‑time roles available due to the continued high demand across Stoke-on-Trent.
The successful SEND Tutor will have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND in a 1-2-1 or small group setting
- Experience supporting core subjects such as Maths, English or Science
- A strong understanding of additional needs including Autism / ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia and SEMH
- The ability to adapt learning approaches to suit individual student needs
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
