Salary: £93 - £105 per day

Do you have experience supporting pupils with ADHD and behavioural needs? Are you confident using strong behaviour management strategies in a classroom setting? Do you have a Level 2 qualification and a passion for supporting children with SEN?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist provision in South Tyneside that supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including ADHD. The setting provides a structured and nurturing environment, focusing on positive behaviour strategies and helping pupils to develop both academically and socially.

The school is looking to take on a SEN Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, starting ASAP. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be supporting pupils with ADHD and behavioural needs, working closely with the class teacher to implement behaviour management strategies and provide tailored 1:1 and small group support.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience supporting children with ADHD and behavioural needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Experience working within an SEN setting
  • A patient and resilient approach
  • A positive and proactive attitude
