ROLE: Semi Skilled Site Operative

LOCATION: St Helens, Merseyside

SALARY: £33,841 per annum

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday between 8am - 5pm, 40 hours per week. Early finish on Fridays.

HG Recruitment are recruiting 2 Semi Skilled Site Operatives in partnership with our client based in St Helens, Merseyside. This is a full-time permanent position. Our client in St Helens is looking for a Site Operative to work in the field of electro-mechanical engineering in the power industry. The role involves working within a well-established site team. The ideal candidate would have industry experience, though basic training will be provided.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to drive.
  • Able to work away from home during the week. A premium pay rate for working away is available at £22.78 per hour.
  • Basic English and Maths qualifications (min. GCSE level 4 / grade C).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Happy to complete a DBS Police check for site work.

Daily Duties:

  • Able to carry out construction tasks and commands, instructed by the site manager or site supervisor.
  • Assist skilled tradesman with aspects of the works.
  • Maintain upkeep of work area, workshop and general housekeeping.
  • Use hand tools, such as hand drills and power tools.
  • Carry out general maintenance across the site.
  • Make themselves aware of health and safety risks involved.
  • Follow site rules and procedures.
  • Follow best practice guidelines and ensuring others adhere to them.
  • Report to supervisor for workload, issues and any risk events.
