We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing specialist in Market Weighton near York. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency through expert fault finding, repair, and proactive maintenance.

You will support a fast-paced production environment by diagnosing complex electrical issues and contributing to long-term reliability projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Responding to electrical breakdowns quickly to minimise production downtime.
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults in PLC systems, control panels, drives, motors, and sensors.
  • Carrying out scheduled electrical Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks.
  • Ensuring all activities are performed safely by following full LOTO procedures and site safety protocols.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and supporting condition-based monitoring.
  • Actively contributing to automation upgrades and efficiency improvement projects.
  • Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new plant equipment.

What You Need

  • A time-served Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
  • Solid experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong technical competence in fault finding on PLCs, inverters, and control systems.
  • The ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics.
  • An analytical approach to problem-solving and diagnosing technical faults.
  • 18th Edition certification is highly desirable.
