Randstad are representing a Tier 1 Contractor renowned for their engineering excellence. They are seeking a Section Engineer to join their team in Plymouth on a major, long-term contract. This is a career-defining opportunity to work on complex, large-scale heavy civils and reinforced concrete structures.

The Role

  • Location: Plymouth, Devon
  • Sector: Heavy Civils / Marine / Nuclear Infrastructure
  • Contract: Long-term (Highly stable pipeline)
  • Focus: Managing significant concrete pours, temporary works, and complex structural elements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of Site Engineers and subcontractors to ensure technical compliance.
  • Manage Quality Assurance (QA), RFI processes, and detailed Method Statements/Risk Assessments (RAMS).
  • Coordinate complex reinforced concrete (RC) works and heavy civil engineering packages.
  • Drive health, safety, and environmental standards on-site.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven track record in Heavy Civils (Marine, Highways, or Energy) and extensive Concrete experience.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of temporary works and structural engineering.
  • Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and valid CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid.
  • Attributes: A proactive leader with a 'get-it-right-first-time' attitude toward QA.
