Are you a confident and knowledgeable Science Teacher who brings clarity, structure, and high expectations to the classroom? Reeson Education is recruiting a skilled Science Teacher for a well‑established secondary school in Sheffield (S13). This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who can deliver engaging and practical Science lessons while maintaining strong classroom management and promoting academic achievement.

About the Science Teacher Role

As a Science Teacher you will deliver structured and stimulating lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable). You will play a key role in developing pupils’ scientific understanding, practical investigation skills, and analytical thinking across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum and examination requirements.
  • Plan and supervise safe and effective practical experiments that enhance pupils’ scientific knowledge and engagement.
  • Maintain clear routines, expectations and a focused learning environment.
  • Assess, monitor and track pupil progress to ensure strong academic outcomes.
  • Work closely with colleagues, senior leaders and parents to support pupil achievement.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry or Physics (specialism desirable).
  • Confident classroom presence with effective behaviour management skills.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
