The Role

As a History Teacher, you will inspire students to explore historical events, understand different perspectives, and develop critical thinking skills. You will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that encourage curiosity and academic achievement while helping students build a deeper understanding of the world around them. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across Key Stages.
  • Inspire students to understand historical events and perspectives.
  • Encourage analytical thinking, discussion, and independent learning.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and attainment.
  • Support students in preparation for assessments and examinations.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental initiatives and school activities.

Requirements

  • QTS or QTLS certification.
  • PGCE or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for History education.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
