Overview: TeacherActive is looking for an English Teacher to join a well-respected mainstream secondary school in Derby on a full-time, long-term contract starting immediately. The role covers Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including exam preparation for GCSEs, and focuses on helping students achieve excellent results while following and implementing the schemes of learning.
Responsibilities:
- Teach English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including GCSE preparation.
- Implement the school’s schemes of learning and support students in achieving high achievement.
- Work with colleagues to promote student engagement and well-being.
Qualifications:
- QTS with English specialism (ECTs are also welcomed).
- Experience teaching English up to Key Stage 4.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
