Are you a passionate and dedicated Science teacher looking to make a meaningful impact outside the traditional classroom? We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced secondary Science teachers to plan and deliver 1:1 tuition to pupils across Harrow. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to support students who may be out of school, need alternative provision, or require extra help to reach their full potential in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
Key Information- Hours: Tuition takes place during school hours; Monday to Friday, 9am - 4pm (term-time only). Sessions are scheduled flexibly around your availability.
- Paid PPA Time: You will receive 2 hours of paid PPA upon starting. For every 10 hours of tuition delivered per student, you'll earn an additional hour of paid PPA.
- Location: Most sessions take place in the student's home (with a parent/carer present). In some cases, sessions may be held in a local library or learning centre. Comprehensive risk assessments are completed before you attend.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) essential.
- Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one).
- Strong subject knowledge in Science (KS3 - KS4) and the ability to tailor lessons to individual learning needs.
- A patient, supportive, and adaptable approach, with a genuine enthusiasm for helping young people engage with and enjoy Science.
