A welcoming primary school in Redbridge is looking for a motivated Science Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a science graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant looking to gain valuable school-based experience while supporting pupils through targeted intervention sessions and classroom support.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils across KS2 through classroom support and targeted intervention sessions.
- Work closely with class teachers to raise attainment, build confidence and encourage engagement across science and the wider curriculum.
- Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions for pupils working below expected levels and those aiming for greater depth.
- Provide support in developing scientific understanding, problem‑solving skills, investigation techniques and confidence within the classroom.
- Assist teaching and learning during lessons, help pupils with classwork and practical activities and help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications
- Science graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant.
- Strong communication skills.
