The Opportunity: We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Site Agent to join their team on a civil engineering project. This is a key role responsible for the successful delivery of works on site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Role Overview: As Site Agent, you will take full responsibility for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating teams, and ensuring all works are delivered in line with programme and quality expectations. You will act as the key link between the site team, subcontractors, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all on-site activities across civil engineering works
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality standards
  • Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
  • Monitor progress, produce reports, and provide regular updates to senior management
  • Manage site documentation including RAMS, permits, and QA records
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Identify and resolve issues proactively to minimise delays and risk

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Site Agent within civil engineering or groundworks
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure projects (e.g., drainage, highways, earthworks, utilities)
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and site compliance
  • Ability to manage programmes, resources, and budgets effectively
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), and First Aid (preferred/required)
