Our client, a reputable organisation dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, is hiring for a Deputy Manager at their new 3-bedroom Children's Assessment Home. This Deputy Manager role offers a meaningful opportunity to support children through structured assessments, helping to promote positive outcomes.

As a Deputy Manager you'll be:

  • Providing high-quality, person-centred support to children facing various challenges
  • Supporting children during assessment placements and observing interactions
  • Ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and emotional support of children
  • Collaborating with colleagues and external professionals to deliver consistent care
  • Leading shifts and supervising residential staff to maintain high standards of care
  • Following policies, procedures, and placement plans in line with Ofsted regulations
  • Producing detailed, evidence-based reports and maintaining a safe, structured environment
  • Supporting safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times

As a Deputy Manager you'll bring:

  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care or equivalent
  • Experience working within residential childcare and with young people
  • A manual UK driving licence
  • Strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills
  • Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and trauma-informed care
  • Experience supporting children with complex needs and challenging behaviours
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and a team-oriented approach
