About the Role
As a Sales Executive you will be a key part of our growth strategy, selling IT solutions on behalf of our partners such as Microsoft, HPE, Cisco and Dell. You will be targeted on securing new business with organisations across the UK, and over time will shift focus from building new business to deepening existing relationships and selling more products. You will join our Softcat Sales Development Programme, designed to equip you fully for becoming an established Account Manager.
Responsibilities
- Research potential customers to shape and build new business
- Grow new business through effective communication methods including cold calling, customer meetings and email marketing
- Work towards your KPI's by developing market understanding, building relationships and networking
- Provide effective account management to support customers’ technology strategy, implementation and future requirements
- Collaborate with sales team, cross‑functional teams and external partners to deliver a rich customer experience
Qualifications
- Passion for sales and a desire to learn and develop your skills
- Entrepreneurial flair and motivation to build your own client base from scratch
- Self‑starter, quick learner and highly organised
- Enthusiasm to learn and develop knowledge of new and emerging technologies
- High level of verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build solid relationships internally and with new clients

- Work from home and office flexibility – 3 days in the office and 2 days from home (must be in office on Wednesday each week for vendor and inter‑office team meetings)
- Flexible start and finish times each day
- Flexibility to accommodate school pick‑up and drop‑off
