Are you a Stores Person or Stock Controller with strong organisational skills and experience managing stock in a fast-paced environment? A well-established manufacturing business is looking for a reliable and detail-focused Stores Person to support the smooth running of its purchasing and production operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Stores Person / Stock Controller to join a growing company specialising in high-quality products for residential and commercial projects. The successful Stores Person will play a key role in maintaining accurate stock records, supporting production teams, and ensuring efficient material flow throughout the business.
Full training will be provided, making this role suitable for candidates with warehouse, stores, or stock control experience who are looking to develop their career further.
Hours
Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm, Friday 7.30am - 3.30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check, and book in deliveries accurately
- Inspect goods against delivery notes and purchase orders
- Carry out quality checks on components and materials
- Pick and issue stock to production teams
- Maintain accurate stock records using Sage 200
- Complete stock counts and investigate discrepancies
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages promptly
- Keep the stores area organised, safe, and efficient
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous stores, warehouse, or stock control experience desirable
- Experience using Sage 200
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Flexible approach with willingness to support other departments
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
