Fantastic opportunity for a reliable and hands-on Handyman / yard support operative to join a manufacturing company in Rugby on a 3-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to extend beyond this. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, has a strong work ethic, and is comfortable supporting a variety of operational and site-based tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Jet washing, cleaning, and stripping down second-hand equipment
  • Assisting with the movement of machinery
  • Supporting general site upkeep, including breaking down pallets and waste materials
  • Carrying out painting, cleaning, and general maintenance tasks
  • Supporting warehouse racking installation
  • Helping with stock relocation and replacement as new systems are implemented
  • Providing support during on-site installations, including two-person lifts and equipment setup
  • Undertaking general DIY and ad hoc tasks across the site

Skills & Experience

  • Practical DIY skills and confidence using tools such as drills, grinders, and multi-tools
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
  • Forklift License (preferred - not essential)
  • Full UK driving licence
