A leading construction industry manufacturer is seeking an Assembly Team Leader to support their growing team. This is a brand new role aimed at ensuring the assembly team has clear tasks and the necessary support for day-to-day operations.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Lead a hands-on assembly team on the shop floor, keeping work flowing and supporting the crew.
- Allocate daily tasks, train new starters, and maintain a team of 5 to 10 running smoothly.
- Ensure high standards with safety checks, quality checks, and clear reporting.
- Engage in practical assembly work, including fitting insulation to large metal units.
- Drive improvements, update SOPs, and enhance workshop efficiency.
About You:
- Confident working with numbers, measurements, and practical problem-solving.
- Solid manufacturing and assembly experience, ideally with larger components.
- Experienced in training and supporting teams, especially new and temporary staff.
- Physically capable and fully authorised to work in the UK without sponsorship.
