A leading construction industry manufacturer is seeking an Assembly Team Leader to support their growing team. This is a brand new role aimed at ensuring the assembly team has clear tasks and the necessary support for day-to-day operations.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Lead a hands-on assembly team on the shop floor, keeping work flowing and supporting the crew.
  • Allocate daily tasks, train new starters, and maintain a team of 5 to 10 running smoothly.
  • Ensure high standards with safety checks, quality checks, and clear reporting.
  • Engage in practical assembly work, including fitting insulation to large metal units.
  • Drive improvements, update SOPs, and enhance workshop efficiency.

About You:

  • Confident working with numbers, measurements, and practical problem-solving.
  • Solid manufacturing and assembly experience, ideally with larger components.
  • Experienced in training and supporting teams, especially new and temporary staff.
  • Physically capable and fully authorised to work in the UK without sponsorship.
