1:1 MATHS & ENGLISH TUTOR OPPORTUNITY - ROCHDALE

Are you passionate about supporting young people outside of mainstream education? Spencer Clarke Group is currently looking for compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Maths and English tutors to provide personalised 1:1 tuition across Rochdale for young people who may be:

  • Out of mainstream education
  • Struggling with attendance or school refusal
  • Experiencing anxiety or SEMH needs
  • Diagnosed with ASD or ADHD
  • Living with additional learning needs or EHCP requirements
  • Finding traditional school settings challenging

This role is ideal for tutors who can build positive relationships, adapt learning to individual needs, and help rebuild confidence and engagement with education through tailored Maths and English support.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum of 1 year tutoring or teaching experience
  • Experience teaching or tutoring Maths and/or English
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Strong understanding of additional needs and barriers to learning
  • Ability to deliver tailored, engaging 1:1 sessions
  • Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
  • Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or anxiety-related needs desirable
  • Experience supporting GCSE or Functional Skills learners beneficial
  • Availability for flexible daytime sessions
