Responsibilities
- Construct, test, and troubleshoot control panels within the workshop.
- Install and test electrical components and wiring for bespoke applications.
- Test equipment operation prior to dispatch.
- Mark up construction drawings to as-installed drawings for updating on AutoCAD by the design team.
- Demonstrate system functions to other team members.
- Complete work in accordance with established quality standards and procedures.
- Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Other duties as assigned (goods inward and stock control for workshop).
Qualifications
- Previous experience within a similar role.
- Strong verbal communication skills; able to listen well and speak clearly.
- Strong attention to detail; able to follow instructions and complete work on time, even under tight deadlines.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems; able to troubleshoot or repair such systems including motors and switches; able to read schematic diagrams and use basic computer programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Willingness for occasional travel to existing plant rooms to modify in-situ panels or carry out fault finding would be an advantage.
- Able to work as part of a team and take initiative.
