Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP40,000 per year

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm

Job type: Full-time, permanent

Responsibilities

  • Construct, test, and troubleshoot control panels within the workshop.
  • Install and test electrical components and wiring for bespoke applications.
  • Test equipment operation prior to dispatch.
  • Mark up construction drawings to as-installed drawings for updating on AutoCAD by the design team.
  • Demonstrate system functions to other team members.
  • Complete work in accordance with established quality standards and procedures.
  • Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Other duties as assigned (goods inward and stock control for workshop).

Qualifications

  • Previous experience within a similar role.
  • Strong verbal communication skills; able to listen well and speak clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail; able to follow instructions and complete work on time, even under tight deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems; able to troubleshoot or repair such systems including motors and switches; able to read schematic diagrams and use basic computer programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Willingness for occasional travel to existing plant rooms to modify in-situ panels or carry out fault finding would be an advantage.
  • Able to work as part of a team and take initiative.
