Academics are currently recruiting dedicated English Teachers to work across a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools throughout Retford on a temporary, ongoing supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs seeking flexibility, variety, and continued classroom experience.

About the Role
As an English Teacher in Retford, you will deliver engaging and structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting pupils in developing their reading, writing, and analytical skills. You may work on both short-term and longer-term assignments, either within your English specialism or occasionally providing general cover where required. This offers a varied and rewarding teaching experience across different school environments. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Adapt lessons to suit a range of abilities and learning styles

- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Assess pupil progress and provide feedback where appropriate
- Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
- Degree in English or a related subject
- Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Flexible and professional approach
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
