We are recruiting for a motivated and hardworking Removals Porter to support our client’s operations across the Cambridge region. This position involves helping customers move household and commercial belongings safely and efficiently. The role also involves working closely with colleagues to deliver a professional moving service.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, pack, and protect customer belongings for transportation or storage
  • Use specialist wrapping materials to safeguard furniture and fragile possessions
  • Handle delicate items such as fine china, mirrors, antiques, artwork, and IT equipment with care
  • Dismantle and rebuild furniture where necessary
  • Assist with the removal of fittings such as doors, frames, curtains, or carpets to allow safe access
  • Load and unload removal vehicles, ensuring all items are secured correctly
  • Travel to customer locations and assist with the placement of items as requested
  • Remove packaging materials and help unpack goods after delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Availability to work flexible shifts based on operational requirements
  • Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays for long-distance jobs
  • A full UK driving licence would be beneficial
  • Previous removals, logistics, or manual handling experience is desirable
