Our client, a respected and high-quality provider of residential care for children, is seeking a passionate, experienced, and inspirational Registered Manager to lead one of their homes. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven leader who is committed to delivering outstanding care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead and develop a warm, nurturing, and safe home environment where children feel valued, supported, and able to thrive.
- Ensure all aspects of care meet the highest standards, with effective implementation of each child's individual Placement Plan.
- Work collaboratively with health, education, and therapeutic professionals to support children's development and wellbeing.
- Maintain full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted SCCIF, ensuring the home operates to the highest regulatory and professional standards.
- Inspire, support, and develop your team through regular supervision, training, and performance management.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including safeguarding, health & safety, and accurate record-keeping.
- Promote a positive culture centred on openness, inclusivity, diversity, and anti-discriminatory practice.
- Manage budgets, occupancy, and staffing rotas while ensuring the home remains a safe, clean, and homely environment.
What you'll bring:
- NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Proven experience leading and developing teams within a residential childcare setting.
- Strong organisational, IT, and time management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, children's legislation, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and undertake sleep‑in duties when required.
- Existing Ofsted registration as a Registered Manager (or eligibility to achieve this).
